July 31, 2004 -- You're as old as you feel, it is often said, but a new system can help identify a person's biological or actual age. The Inner-Age Biological Age Measurement System is a software package that captures the results from physical, blood and urine tests to calculate an individual's biological age, as opposed to his or her chronological age. This means that a person can discover how young and healthy their body is, and which areas need anti-aging treatment. "Inner-Age is a major advancement, representing the arrival of the first comprehensive package for the diagnosis of aging," said Dr. Ward Dean, M.D., the foremost expert in the field of biological aging measurement.

From more than 2000 published clinical studies, scientists have recorded 150 age-related parameters of hormonal and chemical changes within the body, called "markers of aging", or "biomarkers". By combining these biomarkers, the Inner-Age System uses patented technology to calculate the biological age of the patient.

Significant advances can therefore be made in anti-aging medicine, as aging diseases can be detected and treated at an early stage.
