For thousands of years humans have been searching for the secret to longer, healthier lives. While Ponce de Leon never found his “fountain of youth,” developments in anti-aging medicine, anti-aging treatments, anti-aging therapy, along with improvements in diet, exercise and other diseases have had a significant impact on life expectancy. According to the Center for Disease Control, "The United States is on the brink of a longevity revolution. By 2030, the number of older Americans will have more than doubled to 70 million, or one in every five Americans."
One hundred and twenty two years is the longest that anyone has ever lived. Most authorities believe that the genetic structure allows lifespans up to 120 years old, plus or minus a decade. Anti-aging physicians believe that by using techniques to keep the individual's body and brain at 40 to 50 years old, biologically speaking, a 120-year-old genetic potential can be realized.
Breakthroughs in medical science have made aging a treatable condition. Treatments include everything from facial skin crèmes, skin crèmes, skin care, Botox, vitamins, herbal treatments, human growth hormones (HGH), medical spas, medicines, homeopathy, supplements to cosmetic surgery.
While we still haven’t found the “fountain of youth,” there are a tremendous number of products to help us look and feel younger…
